The OHG isn’t your typical St. Pauli bar. It shifts with the light — from calm and cozy by day to intense and atmospheric at night.

To show that, I created multiple visual directions. Each one captures a different facet, all fitting together into a coherent, authentic picture of what the bar really is.

Cuneo has been around since 1905. It’s one of, if not the institution of St. Pauli. Or rather, let’s be honest: of all Hamburg. It feels as if time has stood still.

Everything is a little crooked, a little off. Perfectly imperfect. Rooms full of memories, full of warmth and great italian food, too. It’s good to know places like this still exist. Here’s to the next 120 years. Salve!

Philipp Feit, CCO of German Wahnsinn, has about as many rough edges as St. Pauli — the place the agency calls home. German Wahnsinn is a Hamburg-based 360° audio agency creating music, sound design and voice — from mono to Dolby Atmos — and developing bold sonic identities and immersive audio experiences for brands. The Schladming-Dachstein region is a dream destination all year round – offering far more than just winter sports. Lesser known, but equally stunning, are its spectacular road cycling routes. Steep climbs, green valleys – there’s something here for everyone.

I have the pleasure of capturing this beauty again and again for Hotel Die Barbara in the heart of Schladming.

Institute of Sounds is a DJ collective from Hamburg. Saudy, Max Stark and Emin Organic not only deliver groove and disco, but also the finest sound culture for every dance floor. Yes, for every single one!

S.H.O.K. is a Hip Hop Artist who has something to say: brutal, honest, profound. Musical breaks in style and authentic lyrics make his music one thing above all - special.

We have translated the lyrics on his latest EP into pictures: "Regen", "Bunte LEDs", „Neues Herz“, "Atme & Schlafe", „Recap" and "Elbe".

Christoph Karrasch is a well-known German travel journalist and TV reporter for the popular ProSieben show Galileo. He recently published his first children's book, Rios magische Reisen, which he also narrated himself – and I was there with the camera.

The “baltica Hamburg Altona” is a budget hotel near the Reeperbahn, just a few minutes from Hamburg harbour. It offers simple, cosy rooms at a reasonable price combined with great hospitality. There is also plenty of graffiti to discover in the corridors.

In addition, the hotel is also a starting point for all pilgrims on the Via Baltica, the northern section of the famous Camino de Santiago.

Tudor Pro Cycling is a Swiss professional Road Cycling Team based in Sursee. Launched in 2022 at the initiative of double Olympic Champion Fabian Cancellara, the Team is set to take the world of professional road cycling by storm thanks to a daring new approach to the sport.

Bettina Stark-Watzinger is Deputy Federal Chairwoman of the Free Democratic Party (FDP). From December 2021 to November 2024, she was Minister of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany. The photos were taken as part of the campaign for the 2025 federal election.

A wide variety of musicians recorded songs in the German Wahnsinn Studios in Hamburg and then answered questions in the "Nachts um halb 1" podcast. Or vice versa.

Among them were Jan Plewka (Selig) and Marco Schmedtje, who performed their favorite songs from the 80s with just guitar and vocals.

When people talk about Comporta, what they really mean is the region around it. The Herdade da Comporta is a swoop of coast between the Sado Estuary and the sea, 12,500 hectares comprising seven hamlets: Pego, Carvalhal, Brejos, Torre, Possanco, Carrasqueira and Comporta, too.

The ATV von 1845 e.V. is one of the oldest gymnastics and sports clubs in Germany. What sounds dusty, however, is exactly the opposite. Today, the ATV offers its members not only perhaps the most modern gym in the city, but also a lavish program of courses. And these are some of the instructors who lead the courses.

The people are as they are - unadorned and real. We deliberately did without a stylist and a hair & make-up artist for the shoot. All pictures are authentic and not retouched.

How do you put a Styrian ski lodge and its merch in the right light? The best way is not to do it like everyone else. But rather like this. Schi Heil!

To sum up the Miramonte is no easy task. A dash of Heimatfilm aesthetics, two fingers of design classics, a pinch of Bobo flair, a bit of Zauberberg atmosphere, a splash of glossy magazine plus a slice of Alpine nostalgia. Or in short: A hidden hideaway in the magic mountains of Bad Gastein.

You don't necessarily have to take employee photos so seriously. There is another way. Like at the Hotel die Barbara in Schladming, Austria.

Saudy is owner as well as bartender and DJ at the Washington Bar – one of the most legendary pubs in Hamburg. And on top of that he is quite a cool guy.

Grabarz XCT believes in the power of experiences. Because advertising is like riding a bike: All you have to do is jam a few coasters into the spokes and the whole thing is just that much more fun. I got the chance to take pictures for Orange Blue at their Single-Release & Comeback-Concert in the wonderful St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg. I was allowed to move freely on stage – but don't worry: only with a camera, not with a microphone.

Orange Blue's incomparable success story begins in 2000: with over 400,000 sales of the first single released, the second longest chart performance of the year and over 250,000 sales of the first album, the first two records achieve Gold Status. Vince Bahrdt and Volkan Baydar have sold over one million records to date as 'Orange Blue' with 18 singles, EPs and albums.

Nora Gantenbrink is an author (Verficktes Herz & Dad), screenwriter (Deadlines), culture editor at Der Spiegel, podcast host at Rowohlt Verlag (Sollzustand) and at German Wahnsinn (Nachts um halb 1), the music podcast from Hamburg's Reeperbahn.

Antibeige is not a color, but an attitude: for more pop, more punk, more memphis and more what you want.
